2017 Celebrity Big Brother winner Courtney Act will host E!’s upcoming series The Bi Life. It will be the first ever British bisexual dating reality series and also E!’s first ever British commission.

The 10-part series has been commissioned by Monkey, the production company behind Made in Chelsea, and part of NBCUniversal International Networks.

Hosted by drag queen and entertainer Act (real name Shane Jenek), The Bi Life will see a group of British bisexual, pansexual, fluid or questioning singletons travel to Barcelona in the hopes of finding love abroad.

Janek introduced the upcoming series as: “As if this summer hasn’t been hot enough, we decided to crank it up another notch with The Bi Life on E!

It’s high time there was a dating show for the large number of young people today, like me, who are attracted to more than one gender. In 2018 we know that sexuality is fluid, and sharing the stories and experiences, the laughter and the lovemaking of young bi people is so important.

So get ready to see the true stories of bisexual singles, who are the largest part of the LGBTQ+ community but the least known.”

Lee Raftery, Managing Director UK & Emerging Markets and Chief Marketing & Content Officer, NBC Universal, said of the commission: “This new commission is a pivotal point for E! Entertainment Television in the UK as we bring a fresh take on the full diversity of modern British relationships.

With the number of British people identifying themselves as bisexual rising by 73% in four years, we are incredibly excited to be introducing this pioneering series to our audiences in the UK and Ireland.”

Expected to air in October, The Bi-Life will be the latest major bisexual dating series since 2007’s MTV show, A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila.

Tequila, who identifies as bisexual, was coincidentally also a Celebrity Big Brother contestant in 2015, but was booted off the show for her alleged pro-Nazi beliefs.
