A group of friends from Coventry and Birmingham who found viral fame five years ago have made a prediction as people praised their 'glow up.' Alex Lacey, Kevin Rooney, Connor Humpage and Jamie Philips unwittingly became famous after posting a photo of themselves on Instagram.

Pals Alex Lacey, Kevin Rooney, Connor Humpage and Jamie Philips had been having a 'boozy brunch with the lads' before snapping a photo together outside All Bar One in Birmingham. All donned in particularly tight-fitting jeans and equally body-clinging shirts, the lads shot to fame back in 2019.

Nearly five years on, the friends posted a new photo showing off their updated look, this time with baggier jeans and cargo pants which they picked out at the Bullring. But despite the transformation, the foursome believes that skinny jeans might be back in fashion sooner than expected.

Kevin Rooney told the Daily Mail: “Skinny jeans will come back around, they will be back in fashion. We had people asking why we were in skinny jeans in the first place but it is fashion at the end of the day.”

Fans have told the four friends to stick with their trendy new style with one joking that they were 'no longer four lads in jeans, but four men.' Another argued Birmingham should name a bar after the group while a third added: “Actually a glow-up.”

Many also pointed out the fickle nature of fast fashion, and how quickly trends become ridiculed after gaining popularity. “It is actually mad how fashion trends evolve,” one person said.

Another added: “Ah, the evolution from Topshop and Boohoo Man to Palm Angels and North Face. A classic timeline, typically executed.”

Others were more happy to see them again as they simply said: “Glad they are still friends.” Another said: “It is so cute they all learned together.”
