Crewe man, 32, found dead off Middlewich Road in Leighton

A 32-year-old man has been found dead in Leighton, near to the hospital.

Police were called to an address off Middlewich Road just before 5.30am on Friday due to "concerns for the welfare of a man". Cheshire Constabulary confirmed in a statement that a man from Crewe was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The force said: "At around 5.29am on Friday 5 April, officers responded to concerns for the welfare of a man in Leighton.

"Officers attended the scene at an address just off Middlewich Road, Leighton, where, unfortunately, a 32-year-old man from Crewe was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Officers are not treating his death as suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner."
