Crews working to clear scene after bus and car crash in Westcliff street

Drivers are facing delays in Westcliff as work is ongoing to clear the scene of a bus and car crash.

A large emergency services presence was seen in Westborough Road earlier this afternoon after a bus and car crashed in the road at around 2.10pm.

Police attended the incident close to the junction with Westbourne Grove and, thankfully, no injuries were suffered.

Highways technicians are still working to clear the bus on the scene, the Echo understands.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “We were called to a collision involving a bus and a car in Westborough Road, Westcliff, shortly after 2.10pm today (Tuesday 25 June).

“No injuries were suffered but work is ongoing to clear the scene.”

Google Maps show traffic is slow in the road while the scene is being cleared.
