Cyclist, 65, killed after colliding with open car door in Crouch End

A woman has died after colliding with an open car door as she cycled down a residential street in Crouch End.

Police are appealing for information after the 65-year-old came off her bike on Coleridge Road at 4.40pm on Friday May 28.

Neighbours rushed to help and she was taken to hospital in a critical condition. The woman died from her injuries two days later.

Police said the driver of the parked car was not arrested and is helping them with their enquiries.

At this stage it is believed that no other vehicles were involved in the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dash cam footage or CCTV is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton on 0208 246 9820.Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
