The Channel 5 news presenter's face was left battered and bruised after he was hit by a car while he was cycling on Monday (20 February) and he has said that his helmet saved his life.
Sharing a snap of some ready-made meals, he told fans: "I was just thinking about tea but can't do much with my left hand at the minute so these babies have arrived at just the right time."
Walker told fans about his accident earlier this week, sharing photographs of his facial injuries as he said he was "thankful to still be here".
"Battered and bruised but - amazingly - nothing broken," he wrote on Instagram, saying that he did not have any memory of what had happened before coming round on the tarmac surrounded by paramedics and police.
Walker, 45, thanked everyone who had helped and all the medical staff who treated him.
The father-of-three added that he was "so thankful for our NHS".
"The helmet I was wearing saved my life today so - if you’re on a bike - get one on your head," he said.
"Smashed my watch & phone, ruined my trousers, my bike is a mess but I’m still here."
He added that he was having to eat soup through a straw after the crash.
