Dan Walker shares 'good news and bad news' as returns to dance floor with Strictly pro Nadiya Bychkova

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker is making a grand return to the dancefloor with pro dancer Nadiya Bychkova.

The Channel 5 News presenter was previously paired with Nadiya, when he took part in the BBC hit dance competition show back in 2021.

The pair finished in fifth place and now, three years later, Dan has revealed the pair are set to perform at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday.

Dan took to Instagram and shared the news with a sweet snap of himself Nadiya. Alongside the snap, he wrote: "The Yorkshire Barmaid Returns!!! Great to be back in the rehearsal room with professional partner and multiple world champion, @nadiyabychkova.

"We have been asked to dance at the Royal Albert Hall this Saturday night to the iconic Chariots of Fire music from Vangelis!!! It is the first time Nadiya has ever danced in the iconic venue and it's all part of Prom Praise 2024 – a live celebration of 100 years since Eric Liddell famously won his gold medal at the Paris Olympics."

Walker went on to share the "good news" that Bychkova has choreographed a "beautiful" cross between an American Smooth and a Viennese Waltz.

"Good news 2: my Strictly trousers still fit. Bad News: I have forgotten how much your body aches. It has been great to dance again and I can't wait for Saturday night. There is a full orchestra and choir and it's going to be incredible."
