Dancing On Ice star James Jordan earns highest score of the series

The dancer said the routine pushed him out of his comfort zone.

Dancing On Ice contestant James Jordan was told he was starting to look like a professional skater as he racked up a series high score of 31.5 out of 40.

The former Strictly dancer and his professional partner Alexandra Schauman earned eight out of 10 from judges Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean for their routine on Sunday night’s episode of the ITV show.

Jason Gardiner gave the pair 7.5 for their dazzling lindy hop.

Delivering his verdict, Dean said Jordan was so good he had “blurred the lines between a celebrity and a professional”.

Jordan said the routine had pushed him “out of my comfort zone”.

“I get very safe and very nervous at the same time,” he said.

Jordan is one of 10 hopefuls remaining in the competition, including Didi Conn, Jane Danson and Gemma Collins.

Dancing On Ice, which is hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, continues on ITV.
