A mini heatwave being felt across Liverpool and beyond is due to come to an end after today, but more warm weather has been predicted by experts.

Monday and Tuesday saw highs of 25C in the region, with more sunshine and warmth expected today, Wednesday. According to Accuweather's forecast we can expect it to feel as warm as 28C this afternoon.

From Thursday though, the mercury is set to drop. Accuweather experts say it will become "windier and cooler, with a passing shower or two", with maximum temperatures of 20C and lows of 13C.

We can then expect milder weather again on Friday, with highs of 18C, and plenty of rain over the weekend and into next week. It will certainly feel considerably less summery as we enter July, however there is some good news for fans of hotter weather.

Accuweather's long range forecast predicts Liverpool will have another mini heatwave in less than two weeks' time. Monday, July 8, is set to be sunny and with highs of 22C, while Tuesday, July 9, will see similar maximum temperature and more sunny spells.

Wednesday, July 10, will then have temps that feel like 21C, although it will be cloudy and with "a touch of rain in the morning".

And looking further ahead, Accuweather experts predict highs of 22C on Friday, July 19, 21C on Saturday, July 20, and 22C on Sunday, July 21. There'll also be lots of sunshine across these days.
