Feyenoord defender David Hancko continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.

The Slovakian centre-back, who can also play at left-back, is one of the players being linked with following Arne Slot to Anfield. The 26-year-old has spent two seasons at Feyenoord under Slot, winning the Dutch Eredivisie and Cup during his time in the Netherlands.

Hancko is married to Czech professional tennis player Karolina Pliskova. The former Wimbledon finalist has confirmed that her husband would like to leave Feyenoord after the European Championships in Germany this summer.

And Hancko has already previously suggested that a move to the Reds could happen if a deal can be agreed between Liverpool and his current team.

“I was there once for a match [Liverpool], but there’s nothing yet and with the fact that I signed a new contract, it won’t be easy; but of course I’m not hiding that if something came and it made sense for us, like the transfer made sense from Sparta [Prague] to Feyenoord, why not?" he told Slovakian outlet Aktualit in March.

“I think the right time will come in my career, but even if I don’t leave, I will play in the Champions League with Feyenoord, where I have a great relationship with the fans and the whole club.”

Hancko helped Slovakia to a shock 1-0 win over Belgium at Euro 2024 on Monday. A victory over either Ukraine or Romania in their final two Group E games will secure their place in the knockouts for only the second time.

Liverpool are also said to be keeping a close eye on the situation of Lille centre-back Leny Yoro. Real Madrid are reportedly favourites to sign the 18-year-old who has just a year left on his current deal at the Ligue 1 club.
