David and Victoria Beckham 'hit by attempted break-in while down under'

An attempt has been made to break in to one of the homes belonging to David and Victoria Beckham, according to reports.

Three people were said to have been caught on CCTV camera targeting the property at Great Tew, in the Cotswolds.

The former footballer and fashion designer were on their way to Australia at the time, according to Mail Online.

The incident allegedly took place on Friday, while two of the couple's sons, Romeo and Cruz, and their daughter Harper were with them.

At least one of the three potential burglars was seen wearing a balaclava, the website said.

Mr Beckham was on his way to Australia to join the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the Invictus Games for injured service personnel.

A spokesman for the Beckhams did not comment.

It comes after Mr Beckham said being married to his wife was "hard work".

He told an Australian TV show: "To be married for the amount of time that we have, it's always hard work, everybody knows that. But you make it work."
