Davina McCall reportedly dating her celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas

Davina McCall has reportedly started a new romantic relationship with celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas, following her divorce from Matthew Robinson.

According to The Sun, the presenter was seen holding hands with Douglas – who has been doing her hair for 19 years – at the Chelsea Flower Show this weekend.

The paper reported that their romance ‘blossomed’ from a place of friendship and the couple are just enjoying each other’s company.

It goes on to state McCall especially likes Douglas’ ‘sense of humour and kind nature’, and that her friends approve of the relationship, even though it’s still early days.

Douglas, who is also a style reporter for BBC One’s The One Show, has had a number of famous clients, including Kate Moss, Rochelle Humes, Laura Whitmore, Dawn French and Holly Willoughby, who stars alongside McCall in Garnier’s hair campaign.

The new couple have reportedly been spending time together since last April, although they’ve been close friends since 2000 when they met on Big Brother.

McCall confirmed her split from her husband of 17 years, Matthew Robinson, back in 2017, stating that their three children are their priority.

Speaking in a statement, she shared: “I am very sad to say that Matthew and I have separated.

“Our amazing children are our number one priority, above everything else so therefore we ask for as much space and respect from the media as possible while our family goes through this difficult time.”

Recently, the presenter admitted to taking drugs with her ‘cool’ mother, before getting clean at the age of 25.

She has revealed in the past that she took heroin, cocaine and ecstasy but realised that she needed to separate herself from her mother in order to get sober.

“I was just a kid and… I thought she was cool because my granny, Pippy, and my dad never let me do any of that in England. I realised years later it was because they were normal, responsible adults.”
