POLICE have revealed why they seized a car after a crash in Bradford.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team said the "minor" collision involved a Vauxhall car in the Barkerend area.

The officers later discovered that the driver did not have a licence, the vehicle was uninsured, and it had a "bald tyre".

A spokesperson from the team said "a day in court beckons" for the driver.

They also revealed that the Ford Transit in the above picture had been seized.

Operation Steerside was formed in 2016 - two months after the Telegraph & Argus launched its 'Stop the Danger Drivers' campaign.

A dedicated team was set up three years later specifically to tackle crimes on our roads.
