POLICE have seized a car after the driver produced a questionable insurance policy they said was "bought on Snapchat".

Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team said they saw the SEAT being driven "erratically" on Horton Park Avenue, Bradford.

They added it was later stopped - despite an apparent attempt to hide from officers.

A spokesperson from the team said: "The driver produced an insurance policy bought on Snapchat that did not stand up to scrutiny.

"The car was seized and the driver reported."

Officers from the team also revealed they stopped an Audi on Southmere Road, Bradford, due to a defective brake light.

It turned out the driver had passed his test in April this year but did not get his car insured.

The team spokesperson said the vehicle was seized and the driver was likely to lose his licence in court.
