Demonstrators Gather at Swedish Embassy in Tel Aviv to Protest Quran Burning

Protesters gathered at the Swedish Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Monday, July 3, days after a Quran was burned in Stockholm.

Salwan Momika, who carried out the burning in Stockholm and posted videos of it, was given a police permit for free-speech reasons, Aftonbladet reported. He was reported to be from Iraq originally.

Protesters had breached the Swedish Embassy in Iraq during protests in Baghdad on June 29.
