ITV Loose Women presenter Denise Welch has taken to Instagram in an angry rant over a John Lewis delivery nightmare. Sharing a video with her fans Denise said she was "incandescent with rage" as she tried to get some chairs delivered.

Explaining the situation, Denise, who is also known for starring in Coronation Street and Waterloo Road, said her mother-in-law was left waiting for the chairs after the delivery driver refused to drive further down the road. She said: "Hi! This is the little rant of the day, message to John Lewis, whoever you use for your deliveries, please, you might want to consider using somebody else.

"We have had some chairs that we brought from the Cheadle branch booked in for delivery today. I couldn't be there, so my mum-in-law in her late 70s has been at my house to await these chairs. The man rang and said 'we are here' and I said 'oh right, actually, you are just around the corner from there... you are literally five yards away'"

As the delivery driver continued to tell Denise he couldn't drop the chairs anywhere other than the postcode, which she explained sometimes sent people to the wrong place, Denise became more infuriated. She said: "Are you kidding me? You are yards away!" and struggling to speak said: "Sorry, my anger is... I am incandescent with rage!"

She then asked the delivery driver to phone his manager or for his manager to call her, however, did not receive any calls back and got a text saying they were unable to deliver the chairs. Denise finished her rant by saying: "My mum has taken her whole day out today, to do that, what the actual f**k!" Want fewer ads? Download WalesOnline’s Premium app on Apple or Android.
