Did Megan Barton Hanson take a subtle swipe at Wes Nelson on Dancing on Ice?

Megan Barton Hanson appeared to take a not-so subtle dig at ex-boyfriend Wes Nelson as she watched ice-skating comedy Blades of Glory.

The reality star couple, who hooked up on Love Island last summer, called time on their relationship in January.

Nelson is currently performing on Dancing on Ice, and Barton Hanson couldn't resist mocking the appearances she made in support of him on the show.

“Just when I thought I never had to watch ice skating ever again this is on,” she posted alongside a clip from the Will Ferrell comedy. “Such a sick film though.”

Her post came as Dancing on Ice viewers were left convinced Nelson took a swipe at Barton Hanson during Sunday night's live show.

Nelson and skating partner Vanessa Bauer’s routine saw them glide to Labrinth’s Jealous and sparked speculation the pair chose the song because of the subtext.

But Nelson later clapped back on social media, insisting: “You do realise the producers pick the songs we perform to.”

Barton Hanson previously accused the show of sabotaging their relationship by pairing Nelson with the “hottest” skater, something Nelson denies.

He agreed the show’s rigorous training schedule was “heavily involved” in the pair’s decision to part ways, but added that it wasn’t down to Bauer.

When This Morning's Phillip Schofield asked him whether this “work” was the cause of his break-up with, Nelson replied: “It was heavily involved. Not the way that the media has made out, though, with it being Vanessa this, Vanessa that, it’s not anything to do with that.

“It’s more so the fact that it’s so time confusing, the fact that I’m away from home all the time, it makes it very difficult to plan things ahead.”

Nelson and Barton Hanson announced their split in a statement that parodied Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s infamous “conscious uncoupling” announcement.
