Don't Tell the Bride is changing channels again for a comeback.

The Sun Online reports that a new series of the brilliantly awkward reality show, where grooms plan their upcoming wedding without the help of their bride, will air on E4 later this year.

"We love making Don't Tell the Bride and we're very pleased that it has a perfect new home on E4," enthused Alex Cooke, CEO of Renegade Pictures.

The new series will run for 18 episodes and will see the groom get a budget of £14,000 to spend to try to create the perfect day for their bride, which we all know won't go exactly to plan.

After all, who could forget the alien wedding where an extraterrestrial ceremony was planned in a bunker, complete with alien autopsy and a dress full of holes?

Or the episode where a groom was so determined to get a wedding dress for cheap that he bought one for the costly sum of £75, and then proceeded to HACK at it with scissors to make it fit?

The budget of £14,000 carries on from the increase that the grooms received in last year's series of Don't Tell the Bride on Sky 1.

That version was described as "pacier" than the original version on BBC Three – where it started in 2007 – and BBC One, but it's not clear whether the E4 version will continue with the Sky 1 format or go right back to the beginning.

Don't Tell the Bride airs on E4 later this year.
