Trump Brags About What 'Good Shape' He Is In During The Debate

During the presidential debate, former President Donald Trump took the opportunity to brag about his cognitive and physical health when questioned about age-related concerns.

“I think I’m in very good shape. I feel that I’m in as good a shape as I was 25-30 years ago. Actually, I’m probably a little bit lighter,” he said.

He also boasted about his cognitive health, an area he has been obsessed with, while President Joe Biden put on a weak and unfocused performance at Thursday night’s debate.

“I took two cognitive tests. I aced them, both of them, as you know. We made it public. [Biden] took none. I’d like to see him just take one, a real easy one. Go through the first five questions, he couldn’t do it,” Trump said.

Earlier this year, Biden’s physician reported that he is “fit for duty” and did not believe he needed a cognitive test administered to him.

Biden’s age and health have been points of attacks from Trump, despite the two men being just a few years apart in age. (Biden is 81, making him the oldest sitting president, and Trump just turned 78.) Polls show that voters are also concerned about both Trump’s and Biden’s ages, though concerns were greater for Biden.
