Yahoo News Donald Trump branded security service chief 'Dumbo' because of his large ears
US President Donald Trump branded his own chief of the secret service as ‘Dumbo’, according to reports.
The New York Times reports that the 44th president took to referring to Randolph Alles as Dumbo due to his ‘big ears’ after their relationship soured.
Mr Trump, who was elected in 2016, has been pushing to clear out high-ranking figures at the Department for Homeland Security over a row about the expulsion of a Chinese woman who was identified at a security breach at the president’s Mar-a-Lago Club.
And the news of the president’s not-so-affectionate nickname broke as Mr Alles’ departure was followed by the resignation of Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.

Throughout his three-year term as president thus far Mr Trump has shown a love of nicknames for everything from the media, Fake News CNN, to Apple chief executive Tim Cook, as in his words Tim Apple.
Though this time it does appear to have been a deliberate choice.
He’s referred to himself as Mr Brexit, Tariff Man and Mr T, while calling Joe Biden ‘Crazy Joe’, Michael Bloomberg as ‘Little Michael Bloomberg’, Barack Obama as Cheatin’ Obama, former SNP leader Alex Salmond as ‘Mad Alex’ and former campaign manager Steve Bannen as ‘Sloppy Steve’.
