Donald Trump has fired off an angry tweet about Oprah Winfrey, objecting to her interviewing style on 60 Minutes, and daring her to run for President so he can "expose and defeat" her.

The television star and and entrepreneur made her appearance on the CBS show to interview some Michigan voters about the President.

Questions she asked included: "How many people here voted for him? Just to remind everybody. And how many of you would vote for him again? You would vote for him again?"

She also asked: "Who here believes that he made the comment about, quote, 's---hole countries?'"

It appeared the President was watching Ms Winfrey interviewing his supporters.

He wrote of his former friend: "Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes.

"The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!"

Oprah Winfrey has repeatedly said she will not run for President, despite many thinking she is the only hope against Trump in what would be a battle of TV titans.

"I don’t have the DNA for it," she told InStyle last year. "That’s not for me."

Last week, the star re-iterated that sentiment, telling 60 Minutes Overtime: "I am actually humbled by the fact that people think that I could be a leader of the free world, but it’s just not in my spirit.

"Because if God actually wanted me to run, wouldn’t God kind of tell me?

"And I haven’t heard that."
