Donald Trump wants to step up his attacks on Amazon and 'f**k with' Jeff Bezos

Donald Trump is reportedly looking to wage war on Amazon, with sources saying he is looking for ways to “f**k with” owner Jeff Bezos.

The US President has spoken out against the company in a series of recent tweets, accusing Amazon of paying “little or no taxes” and putting “many thousands of retailers out of business”.

Mr Trump’s attack on Amazon has already had a direct effect on founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, whose net worth reportedly dropped by $16 billion after the tweets.

And according to Vanity Fair, Mr Trump is looking for ways to step up his attack on Amazon, with one source telling Gabriel Sherman he had become “obsessed with Bezos”.

“Trump is like, how can I f**k with him?”, another source was reported as saying, while someone else reportedly said: “He’s off the hook on this. It’s war.”

The article claimed that Mr Trump wanted the Post Office to increase Amazon’s shipping costs and would be prepared to try to renegotiate the deal.

In a tweet on March 29, Mr Trump wrote: “I have stated my concerns with Amazon long before the Election. Unlike others, they pay little or no taxes to state & local governments, use our Postal System as their Delivery Boy (causing tremendous loss to the U.S.), and are putting many thousands of retailers out of business!”

And on Monday, he tweeted: “Only fools, or worse, are saying that our money losing Post Office makes money with Amazon. THEY LOSE A FORTUNE, and this will be changed. Also, our fully tax paying retailers are closing stores all over the country . . . not a level playing field!”
