Driver mounts car onto £200,000 Aston Martin outside dealership after 'losing control'

A driver mounted a Volkswagen onto the bonnet of a Aston Martin sports car after 'losing control'.

The incident unfolded outside the luxury car dealership on Water Lane in Wilmslow yesterday (May 7). The driver of a Volkswagen Tiguan, a male, reportedly lost control of the car and reversed it back onto the blue Aston Martin DBS.

Pictures showed the Volkswagen left parked on an angle after hitting the bonnet of the sportscar. The Aston Martin, which is worth more than £200,000, was left crushed at the front with debris from the car left strewn across the pavement.

Police were called to the scene of the smash. Enquiries are ongoing 'to establish the circumstances' around the incident, a spokesperson for Cheshire Police said.

No arrests have been made. In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said: "At 4.37pm on Tuesday 7 May police on patrol in Wilmslow came across of a grey Volkswagen Tiguan which had had mounted the bonnet of a blue Aston Martin outside a dealership on Water Lane, Wilmslow.

"Both vehicles have been recovered and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. No arrests have been made."
