The Duchess of Sussex has posted a heartfelt tribute to husband Prince Harry on his 35th birthday.

Writing on Instagram alongside a collage of photos, Meghan praised the duke for “inspiring” her every day and being the “best husband.”

Her message on the couple’s official "@sussexroyal" page read: “Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day.

“You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you. Happiest birthday!”

The accompanying photos offer a snapshot of Harry’s life since his birth on September 15, 1984.

The first shows the infant prince in the arms of his mother Princess Diana, leading on to pictures of him as a schoolboy chatting to his brother William.

The collage goes on to focus on his charity work and time in the army, before heralding the arrival of his new family: wife Meghan and baby son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

Well-wishers have tweeted in celebration of the event, with the Royal family, British Army and RAF among those to extend a happy birthday to the duke.

The Royal Family’s official Twitter page posted: “Happy Birthday to The Duke of Sussex – 35 today!”

The British Army tweeted: “Happy 35th birthday to His Royal Highness Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. Our Soldier Prince."

And a post on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Instagram read: “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today!”

The message captioned a photo of Harry and William exchanging warm smiles at the younger prince's 2018 wedding, which came before rumours of a fall-out between the brothers.
