A video showing unwitting pedestrians all tumbling on the same patch of ice has become an overnight YouTube hit.

The hilarious video, filmed by a mystery cameraman in Norwich, shows members of the public trying to navigate the same slippery spot, with mixed results.

Despite the presence of two large cones next to the ice patch, dozens of pedestrians fail to spot the hazard and end up hitting the deck in spectacular style.

Several more observant members of the public manage to sidestep the dangerous section of pavement in the 8 minute-long YouTube video.

But the majority stride straight across the ice, only to quickly loose their footing.

All the pedestrians who fall over the video appear to be unhurt, and get back up to their feet before moving on.

The video, titled 'Duke Street Hazard', has already been viewed over 40,000 times in less than 24 hours.

It appeared online as millions of Britons battled the elements, with snow and blizzards sweeping across the UK.

Schools have been closed and roads left congested as motorists and workers tried to continue with their lives as normal.
