EastEnders' Elaine Peacock made a devastating discovery about her partner George Knight in the show's latest episode.
The Knight family have had their lives turned upside down this week, following the news that George has a brain condition which is linked to repeated blows to the head.
Despite being told that one more bad knock could kill him, George made the alarming decision to pursue another fight regardless.
With Cindy desperately trying to heal the rift that keeping George's fighting a secret has caused with her daughters, she made them a promise that she'd struggle to keep in Thursday's visit to Walford.
Cindy told Gina and Anna that she would convince George not to fight again and later suggested he try online therapy to help him cope with his overwhelming emotions,
George reluctantly agreed and logged on for an assessment, but quickly became spooked and rushed off.
Once alone, George rang Rufus to arrange a fight for next week and then went on to tell Cindy what he intended to do.
Cindy initially decided to back off, aware of the tension her ongoing presence was causing for the family.
However, after some words of advice from Peter, she headed back to The Vic, where she got tough with George.
Cindy gave George an ultimatum, threatening to tell Elaine about their kiss if he goes ahead with the fight.
George was quick to call her bluff, unaware that Elaine was listening outside and had overheard everything.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
