Frankie Lewis has quit her job at The Albert after learning the truth about her long-lost father Mick Carter being groomed as a child in EastEnders.

The Walford newcomer realised earlier this week that her mum Katy had sexually abused Mick (Danny Dyer) when he was just 12 years old, then cut off contact when she fell pregnant.

Mick was still struggling with the recollections of his youth in Tuesday's episode, arguing that he'd actually been the one to make the first move on Katy.

Frankie was horrified to learn that Mick's father Stan Carter knew of the inappropriate relationship and even encouraged it, asking: "The fact that you were telling daddy, does that not ring any alarm bells?

"Now that you're an adult. Now that you're not 12. You were 12, mum was 20. How are you trying to justify this?"

As they shared a meal later on, Frankie tried to get Mick to understand that what her mum had done all those years ago was "sick".

"I don't care which way you're going to go with this: she abused you, Mick," Frankie explained.

Mick's mind was left swimming the day's revelations, especially after his sister Tina told him that she'd need him to work more hours at The Albert.

Tina then revealed that Frankie had suddenly quit her job behind the bar with "no notice, no nothing". Tuesday's episode left off with Mick trying to reconcile his childhood memories within this new context.
