EastEnders landlord Mick Carter will continue to grow closer to his daughter-in-law Whitney in worrying scenes next week.

Mick (Danny Dyer) and Whitney have developed a slightly uncomfortable bond in recent months and even shared a brief kiss after the trauma of the Walford bus crash.

And unsurprisingly, the pair will find themselves leaning on each other more than ever in the wake of Lee's exit.

Whitney (Shona McGarty) will impress Mick when she takes control of The Vic's pancake race day and she later steps up to support him with his ongoing financial problems.

Desperate for money to pay Konrad and the court fine, Shirley suggests Mick arranges an appointment with the bank for a loan. However, Shirley is later put out to learn that Mick has asked Whitney to help at the meeting instead.

These pictures show Whitney attending Mick's highly important meeting with him, which he hopes will provide the answers that he so desperately needs. But will the meeting bring about good news? And could Mick find himself turning to Whitney again if it doesn't?
