Later in the week, both Vinny and Kat try to counsel Keegan as he reveals all about his frustrations and asks why Kheerat picked up on Chantelle’s abuse but he didn’t. But their words fail to console him and he ends up getting into a huge argument with mum Karen about all that’s happened.
On Thursday, though, help could be coming as Tiffany makes a special one-off appearance – her return leaving Keegan floored. But can she get through to him?
Mitch blames Karen
Mitch reckons that Mack and Mia both need to hear the truth about their dad. But as the youngsters are put in the picture, the whole thing becomes too much for Karen, who flees from the room.
With the situation fraught, Mitch reaches the conclusion that he didn’t do enough to protect Chantelle. But, in an emotional state, he lashes out at Karen and blames her for not noticing the signs. A deeply hurt Karen then kicks him out.
Kat left stunned by mystery delivery
Ben pays Kat a visit and tells her that she needs to sign for a package and keep it stashed away for Phil. Kat is hesitant about doing so but Ben is insistent: this is her problem now and she needs to step up.
The following day, Kat accepts the parcel and is left shocked by what she finds inside. Ben then finds himself on the receiving end of some stern words from Kat, who accuses him of not being there for his dad. But after venting her anger, Kat is still left with the problem of a package that she desperately needs to hide.
Mick takes a break – with Janine
Recent events are weighing heavily on Mick, who’s at a loss as to what he should do next. And it’s not as though he can even turn to Linda for support these days.
So, realising that Mick’s in need of help, Janine takes him away from the Square to give him time to reflect. But this seems an unusually altruistic move on her part, so might she take advantage of his current vulnerability? Or is Janine just genuinely concerned?
Stuart returns with surprise news
Stuart is back but Rainie is non-plussed, as she can’t believe that he’s left her hanging all this time. Stu, though, has big news: his cancer has shrunk and he’s feeling great.
But Rainie doesn’t believe a word of it, and when she later confides in Sonia, the pair agree that there’s no way the pills Stuart is taking would be helping him. Yet how do they convince him to seek proper treatment?
By the week’s end, Rainie and Callum make a pact not to give up on Stuart and confront him about his treatment, telling him they want a second opinion. But will the man himself agree?
