EastEnders spoilers: Lola gets devastating news, Stacey has an unwelcome visitor

Lola suffers another setback on EastEnders next week after being rushed to hospital, Elaine is keeping big secrets from her daughter Linda, while Alfie may well be losing his job.

Plus Stacey gets an unwelcome visit, and Kim’s struggles with anxiety threaten to get out of control.

Devastating news for Lola

Kim organises a karaoke leaving party for Lola, but the occasion proves too much for the terminally ill stylist, who secretly leaves mid-way through. After Lola is later found in a confused state outside the gym, she ends up panicking when her speech and mobility become impaired.

After being taken to hospital, Lola wakes to find Jay, Ben and Billy by her bed. But there’s devastating news to come when they learn that the palliative chemotherapy treatment hasn’t worked – hence Jay taking Lola for a fun-filled day at the seaside, where Lola spots a ruby necklace she hopes to buy as a present for Lexi’s 16th birthday.

Elaine’s vendetta

Elaine and Linda have to deal with the fallout from the break-in at the Vic. But Linda can’t help but be upset when Elaine acts nonchalant about a ruined picture of Mick, and is later irritated when her mum starts making alterations to the running of the pub.

Then there’s the matter of the Panesars, who Elaine is convinced are responsible for the attack on the premises. But after Elaine setsher sights on taking them down, Eve tries to persuade her to drop the vendetta, for fear of what the crusade will do to Linda’s already skyrocketing stress levels.

Thankfully, mother and daughter end up having a heart to heart about the loss of Mick and the pair vow to support each other. But later, Elaine makes a furtive phone call to a mystery man and expresses her hope that he’ll soon be able to move in to the Vic…

Will Alfie get the sack?

Elaine will also been seen plotting to get shot of Alfie, her discontent with him growing when he turns up late for his shift.

Alfie then tries to turn on the old charm by suggesting a cocktail night and mixing some signature drinks for Kat and Phil so they can toast to Peggy’s memory. And when Kat senses Elaine’s disillusionment with Alfie, she subtly tries to stick up for him. But will her efforts work?

The bailiffs clear out the Slaters’ as Stacey gets desperate

The financial plight of the Slaters’ is set to worsen when the bailiffs turn up to clear Stacey out of house and home. Realising what’s going on, Martin tries to offer additional support, but Stacey is adamant: she can deal with it.

But later, Freddie spots a downcast Stacey and comes up with a potentially money-spinning idea to attract more customers to the bap van. The plan is an instant success, which buoys Stacey up considerably. But she soon grows distracted after an offer comes in from Secret Cam…

Kim continues to struggle

Kim’s anxiety issues are set to intensify when she insists that Pearl needs to go to the hospital after the youngster gets sick.

Noticing that Kim is acting in an erratic fashion, Sonia ends up intervening and examining Pearl before encouraging Kim that she needs to seek some help.
