Realising the game is up, though, Theo hides Stacey’s phone before revealing all – a move that leaves a fear-stricken Stacey worried about how she’s going to get him out of the house. The major complicating factor in all this is the fact that Lily’s waters happen to break at that very moment. With her daughter in full-blown labour, Stacey assumes in her panic that Theo has gone.
Jean, meanwhile, has arrived on the scene and, with the ambulance delayed, prepares to help Lily deliver her baby at home. But when Stacey heads to the kitchen for some towels, she’s astounded to be met by an angry Theo, who’s back inside the property and traps her while an oblivious Jean continues to support Lily…
Ian wants investment from Nish
After the run-in at the Queen Vic, Ian attempts to bolster Cindy’s spirits by promising her a new business that he says will entice Gina and Anna.
Scenes to be shown on Tuesday will then see Ian formulate a plan and, in need of investment, he decides to invite Nish for lunch. But the get-together fails to go to plan – the consequence being that any potential deal is off the table. Cue Cindy venturing over to No 1 to persuade Nish to have a rethink.
In the wake of all this, Ian advances his scheme and asks Nish to come to the café to sample a taster menu, roping in Alfie to help him out, only for Nish to then rearrange.
Bobby discovers all about Freddie’s one-night stand with Anna
Freddie is struggling with the guilt he feels about Anna, but there’s still an evident attraction between them.
Later, Freddie confides his worries in Alfie, who manages to convince him to keep everything under wraps for Bobby’s sake. The trouble is, Alfie ends up revealing all to Ian who, after being left feeling belittled by George at the pub, blurts out the truth in front of Bobby and Cindy!
Reiss’s fertility problem becomes common knowledge
Sonia and Reiss attend their first fertility appointment, but a nervous Reiss finds himself intimidated by what’s involved.
And the situation isn’t helped when his fertility becomes the talk of the Square after a run-in with Karen at the launderette. Following this, Sonia tries to comfort him and offers words of reassurance that he’ll be a wonderful dad. But can Reiss be convinced?
Lexi starts secondary school
Finally, it’s an emotional week for Ben and Lexi as they prepare for her first day at secondary school. The occasion proves too much for Ben, who heads to the Vic to drown his sorrows, only to be called home again by Callum in order to comfort Lexi.
Ben then encourages his daughter to open up, and Lexi does ultimately begin to get excited about what lies ahead at school. Following this, Callum worries about the toll this is all taking on Ben, but he insists that he’s OK…
