Whitney Dean is set to have her fate revealed in EastEnders next week as she attends the bail hearing for her murder charge.

But will Whit - actress Shona McGarty - walk away a free woman after stabbing twisted Leo King to death?

As the week kicks off, Whitney is hopeful after solicitor Gray Atkins visits her in prison and tries to reassure her. But later, Gray lies to Whit’s sister, Tiffany Baker, about the state Whitney is in.

Gray’s wife, Chantelle, tries to support her obviously stressed out husband, but Gray explodes before lashing out and revealing he’s dropping Whitney’s case.

Soon Gray – who’s played by Toby Alexander-Smith – is feeling the pressure from all angles. Things go from bad to worse for him when his boss urges him to make Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) plead guilty in his GBH case against Leo.

Gray advises Kush, but when his girlfriend Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) finds out, she is quick to confront Gray.

Stressed out Gray admits that Kush pleading guilty could help Whitney, leaving Kat more conflicted than ever.

Later, as Gray and Kush head off to court, Chantelle worries about her husband. On the way, Gray subtly seeds doubts in Kush’s mind about his plea. But will he plead guilty to help Whitney?
