Edinburgh A720 City Bypass collision triggers delays as police race to scene

Edinburgh drivers are facing delays on the city bypass following a collision.

The incident happened at around 2.15pm at Calder Junction Westbound on Saturday, May 25. Drivers were warned to expect delays and to 'take care' on approach.

Emergency services attended to the crash with delays of approximately 14 minutes expected. It's not yet known whether any injuries were sustained.

Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, Traffic Scotland wrote: "A720 westbound is currently experiencing delays of approx 14 minutes due to a collision. Minimal delays eastbound.

"Please take care on approach and use alternative routes."

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
