Edu Manzano makes comeback through GMA drama

The actor plays a father struggling with son's Alzheimer's in "Someone to Watch Over Me"

5 Aug - Now that he is no longer tied to his constituents, Edu Manzano finally decided to make his acting comeback.

As reported on PEP News, the actor has recently begun filming new series with GMA Network, entitled "Someone to Watch Over Me", alongside Lovi Poe, Tom Rodriguez, and Jackie Lou Blanco.

Manzano will be playing the role of Rodriguez's father, who struggles to accept that his son is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

"We also see a father who wanted to show all the love he has for his son as the son's memory gradually fading away," he said.

He stated that aside from the bold concept of the drama, he decided to accept the project to get the chance to work with director Maryo J. delos Reyes.

Manzano was last seen on ABS-CBN drama "Bridges of Love", alongside Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador.
