Eight-Year-Old Child Screaming For Mom Rescued From Burning Apartment

An eight-year-old girl and two dogs were taken from a burning apartment by Henderson Police Department officers when they were called to a fire.

Footage released by Henderson Police Department shows the moment officers discover a crying child in a smoke-filled apartment during the March 10 incident.

Police said it was the eight-year-old daughter of the apartment owner, who was not home.

The child can be heard screaming for her mother as officers try to calm her down.

Officers can be heard coughing as they go through the apartment, eventually entering a bedroom with an open flame.

Two dogs were also removed from the apartment, police said.
