While the idea of the "Strictly curse" is long established, viewers have noted that competing on Dancing On Ice has also coincided with several break-ups — and new romances.

The 28-year-old told Mail Online that she's saying "see you later to the curse", with her Dancing On Ice experience having had the opposite effect on her relationship thus far.

"I'm saying boring to the idea of that [the curse] because it has made our relationship a lot stronger," said Ekin-Su.

She added: "This show has made us stronger, made us love each other more because I've got this passion, I've got this quality that I'm always doing something I love and that's really attractive for a person anyway."
