Emilia Clarke is the New Face of Clinique

While we've all been fixated on Emilia Clarke's hair over the years (that Targaryen
blonde was iconic), the actress has secretly been a bonafide skin care expert. It paid off: Clarke just announced she's the new global ambassador for Clinique skin.

"I am so proud to join Clinique as the new Global Brand Ambassador. It is a skincare brand I have regularly used and to now be part of that family is such an honor," the actress shared in a brand statement. "I love the confidence and happiness it brings to the people using their products. Not only is Clinique timeless, but I'm proud to work with a brand that makes people feel included for who they are, and unapologetic about helping them to create great skin—no matter what their skin concern is."

This isn't Clarke's first beauty deal. She's also the face of Dolce & Gabbana The One fragrance alongside GoT star Kit Harrington.

In an interview with BAZAAR UK back in 2018, Clarke spilled her beauty philosophy. "There have been times–and I feel like people have this–where you don’t even like looking in the mirror, and you just slap your moisturizer on and don’t think about it. But actually, taking the time to stop, and ritually clean yourself, and to take stock, is important," she said.

Clarke continued: “I was really lucky; my mum always drilled it into me to cleanse, tone and moisturize, wear SPF, and don’t wear too much make-up–and your skin will be good. And don’t pluck your eyebrows. Those were the basics that I was brought up with."
