Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount has landed an unexpected new role – as Shakira's love interest in a new music video.

The actor, who is well known for playing Alfie in the Netflix series and previously starred in UK soaps Coronation Street and Waterloo Road, appears as a centaur in the 'Puntería' video.

The concept sees Shakira and fellow artist Cardi B in a pink fantasy setting alongside a group of centaurs, with Shakira taking a particular interest in Laviscount's character as the pair get rather steamy when he turns into a human.

Shakira and Laviscount teased the appearance with a joint Instagram post, sharing a series of intimate pictures from the video shoot.

It comes after rumours surfaced last year that the Emily in Paris star could be in line to take over from Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.

However, reports have emerged this week that Aaron Taylor-Johnson may be close to signing on to the role, with The Sun claiming that he has been offered the part and is expected to accept.

Since then, a production insider has denied the reports, with BBC News reporting that they said there was "no truth in the rumours".

Meanwhile, back in 2022 Shakira confirmed she had split from long-term partner Gerard Pique after an 11-year relationship.

"We regret to confirm that we are separating," they said at the time in a statement through their PR agency. "For the wellbeing of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy."

Emily in Paris seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix. Season 4 has been confirmed.
