Emily Ratajkowski Bares Breasts and Backside in Naked Dress by Versace for 2024 Met Gala

On a night when many stars played it safe, Emily Ratajkowski did the opposite at the Met Gala by keeping the sheer dress trend alive and well in a daring dress by Versace that leaves little to the imagination. The actress-turned-influencer, author and podcast host braved the red carpet in a completely sheer gown that revealed her breasts and backside. The backless look comes from the house’s 2001 fall/winter collection and features long sleeves, a miniature train and crystals that form a delicate floral pattern.

She paired the glittering look with Chopard gems including earrings with 108.808-carats of yellow diamonds set in 18k yellow gold, a bracelet featuring 30.09-carats of yellow diamonds set in 18k yellow gold and a ring featuring 10.76-carats of diamonds set in platinum, all from the house’s high jewelry collection. Ratajkowski added a Briony Raymond 8-carat diamond sloan solitaire ring and Rene Caovilla sandals.

Ratajkowski kept the sheer looks coming at a Met Gala afterparty (see below) that she hosted with a roster of fashion insiders. Ratajkowski wasn’t the lone attendee to show some skin with a sheer look. Rita Ora, in Marni, also revealed her backside in a daring gown that covered only the midsection of her body with thousands of ancient beads sourced by the house. Other sheer ensembles were embraced by Elle Fanning, Kelsea Ballerini, Greta Lee, Phoebe Dynevor, Doja Cat, Janelle Monae, Eve Hewson and others.

This year’s dress code, “The Garden of Time,” takes its cue from the 1962 short story of the same name by J.G. Ballard, which dovetails with the latest Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute exhibition, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, which opens to the public on Friday, May 10. The Andrew Bolton-curated show spotlights fragile pieces from the institute’s archives, all viewed through a lens of nature. The exhibit’s coffee table book will be released on June 18.
