Emma Corrin found gender identity discovery hard in public eye
Emma Corrin has admitted it has been hard discovering their own gender identity while being in the public eye.
The 26-year-old star of Lady Chatterley's Lover changed their pronouns in July 2021 not long after becoming famous around the world for playing Princess Diana in the The Crown.
Corrin told The New York Times: “It’s hard to be discovering something in yourself at the same time you’re navigating an industry that demands a lot of you, in terms of knowing who you are.”

The My Policeman star added: “My identity and being nonbinary is an embrace of many different parts of myself, the masculine and the feminine and everything in between."
And speaking about their new permed hairstyle said: "It’s very Renaissance boy, which I feel like I channel in my soul anyway.”
Corrin previously said they felt "so weird and uncomfortable" when people referred to them as 'she' while working, and since becoming non-binary they had felt "more comfortable".
But the Pennyworth star, who identifies as queer, has also said they don't mind if people get pronouns wrong, as long as they're trying.
Corrin told The Telegraph: "I don't mind if people get my pronouns wrong, that's fine.
"Just try, and I'll correct you where necessary and gradually we take steps forward. It's not going to happen overnight."
Last year they shared an image of their chest bound with boxing tape and captioned it: "Some time before I bought my first binder, messing around with @sirdavidsimon, we used boxing wrap, thanks for capturing this with me, very intimate, very new, very cool. It’s all a journey right. Lots of twists and turns and change and that’s ok! Embrace it."
Chest binding or breast binding is the act of flattening the chest using constrictive fabric.
Corrin has shot to fame since being cast in The Crown, winning a Critic's Choice and Golden Globe award as well as numerous other nominations for their performance.
