Emma Watson ‘splits’ from Philip Green’s son Brandon after 18 month romance

Emma Watson has reportedly split from Sir Philip Green’s son Brandon after 18 months together.

The pair first sparked rumours in September 2021 after they were pictured disembarking a helicopter in Battersea, London.

Although they never officially confirmed their relationship, the Harry Potter star, 33, and the tech founder, 29, had reportedly “met each other’s parents” and went on holidays together “including a romantic break” in Venice last August, where the two appeared to confirm long-standing romance rumours.

However, it wasn’t meant to be for them – despite their romance previously being described as “serious” – as an insider told MailOnline that they parted ways around Christmas time.

The Standard has contacted Emma Watson’s rep for comment.

More recently, Watson sparked rumours in March that she had reunited with her ex-boyfriend Brendan Wallace after they both attended a Taylor Swift concert in Las Vegas.

The Little Women actress was previously linked to the entrepreneur in 2018 after images emerged of the pair on a romantic break in Mexico.

Aside from Wallace, she was also romantically linked with Glee actor Chord Overstreet, Californian businessman Leo Robinton, Brendan Iribe, and William ‘Mack’ Knight.

Elsewhere, Watson opened up about her self-imposed break from acting – and whether or not she could be tempted to return after a four-year hiatus from the big screen.

The British actress shot to fame as a child star playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films for 10 years.

Since then, she has started in blockbusters including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast live-action remake, Perks of Being A Wallflower and The Bling Ring.

She was last seen on screen in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women back in 2019 and she says the experience made her reevaluate the direction in which her life was going.

“I wasn’t very happy if I’m being honest. I think I felt a bit caged,” she told the Financial Times in March. “The thing I found really hard was that I had to go out and sell something that I really didn’t have very much control over.

“To stand in front of a film and have every journalist be able to say, ‘How does this align with your viewpoint?’

“It was very difficult to have to be the face and the spokesperson for things where I didn’t get to be involved in the process.”

That does not mean to say she will never step in front of a camera again. Watson said she would be open to the idea if the role was “right”.

She explained she did not want to “fracture herself into different faces and people”, adding: “I don’t want to switch into robot mode any more.”
