Emmerdale spoilers: Amelia puts a life at risk, Leyla busted by David

Will David reveal Leyla’s secret on Emmerdale next week? Plus Amelia puts baby Thomas in danger, and Marlon is having doubts.

Leyla is caught by David as she does coke

David feels that Leyla isn’t being supportive to Jacob ahead of his move away to uni, so she appeases her son by flashing enough cash to cover his accommodation. But later on, she starts to regret her coke-fuelled act of generosity.

Stresses subsequently start to pile up for Leyla when she’s bombarded with questions at the Take a Vow office, all of which leads to Kim firing her as wedding planner. In the aftermath of this shock, Leyla prepares to do a line of coke, but is caught by David, who says he’s going to tell Liam in order to ensure she gets the help she needs.

A desperate Leyla pleads with David not to inform Liam about her addiction and that she’s now stopped doing the coke. But will he be convinced by her protestations that her drug-taking days are over?

Amelia’s big health scare

Amelia continues to visit Noah in prison and is left pleased that they’re getting closer. So pleased, in fact, that she starts ignoring some new health concerns, most notably the blurring of her vision.

But after agreeing to babysit for Gabby, things come to a head when a now-nauseous, disoriented Amelia faints and drops little baby Thomas in the process.

When Harriet arrives on the scene, Amelia lies and says that Thomas fell from his highchair. But the truth is set to be revealed at the hospital, as Amelia faces a barrage of questions about her blackout.

Eventually, Amelia admits to Dan that she’s been taking weight-gain syrup that she bought from off the internet. Gabby, meanwhile, finds her anger towards Amelia mounting when she learns that social services will be paying her a visit following Thomas’s fall.

Marlon returns to the Woolpack

Vanessa has a suggestion for Rhona: why don’t they throw a party at the pub to celebrate her and Marlon’s engagement? But when the idea is outlined to Marlon, he’s initially doubtful.

After giving the matter some thought, he realises he’s nervous about returning to the Woolpack for the first time since his stroke, but gets reassurance from Paddy that all will be OK.

Later that day, Marlon and Rhona arrive for their engagement party and the groom-to-be leaves everyone cheering when he makes a declaration of love for his bride. But is Marlon truly as content as he’s making out?

Sarah puts her faith in her gran

Faith has reached a decision: she’s going to fully embrace the time she has left and is now determined to do things her way.

And one person who’s happy to see Faith acting in such a positive way is granddaughter Sarah, who’s certainly up for embarking on this wild ride with her gran.

Sandra takes liberties

Sandra is acting in an underhand manner at the salon, not thinking twice about pocketing a tenner tip from a customer.

But when Mandy starts asking questions about the missing tip money, Sandra realises that she’ll need to tread more carefully from now on…
