Marshall [MAX FLETCHER], Arthur Thomas [ALFIE CLARKE] (ITV)

After Marshall stands up for Arthur in front of a bully, there’s a moment between the two boys. Might Marshall truly be on Arthur’s side?

But there’s bad news to come when Arthur learns that his LGBTQ history assembly has been cancelled. When Laurel makes a call to the school, she discovers that one parent has complained. And when Jai then makes an insensitive comment, Arthur realises that it was he who objected. It’s a revelation that leaves Arthur concerned that Jai wants him to suppress his sexuality and head back into the closet.

After Marshall decides to check on him, a frustrated Arthur voices his concern that no one is being honest with him. The outburst results in Marshall’s swaggering bravado being stripped away, but just as the pair are about to kiss, Marshall’s dad calls and in a sudden panic, he rushes off.

The following day, Laurel informs Arthur that he can do his presentation at the school – but only after some parents have withdrawn their children.

As Will confronts Sam about the missing watch, things turn heated, and it’s Caleb who ultimately steps in to help his Dingle relative. It’s a move that leaves Sam awestruck that Caleb would defend him in this manner.

Later on at Home Farm, Nicky reveals that baby Thomas was playing with Will’s watch – an admission that results in Kim realising that she’s fallen out with Lydia for no good reason.

Kim’s next move is to offer an apology, but when she takes back her old job, Lydia makes it plain that Kim is now merely her boss and no longer a friend. Will, meanwhile, is left feeling unsupported by Kim and concerned that Caleb is a no-good shyster.

Bob needs cash but Nicola is refusing to buy his shares in the café. It’s a real blow, as Eric has given him and Bernice just three days to pay the deposit on the B&B.

The pair’s next move is to get Jimmy drunk, so he can convince his missus to buy the shares. But that gambit fails spectacularly when Jimmy and Nicola end up buying the B&B themselves!

Nicola is then accused by Bernice of being a traitor, but Pollard subsequently allows Bob and Bernice to try and beat the Kings’ offer. Will they be able to raise the funds they desperately need?
