'Emmerdale' spoilers: Rhona’s meltdown, Noah seeks revenge, plus Al is ordered to leave

Rhona has a huge showdown with meddling mum Mary on Emmerdale next week, plus Vanessa’s new date is keeping a sizeable secret.

Rhona vents her anger at Mary over Marlon’s care

Marlon gets to watch a village Easter egg hunt via video, but the event leaves him feeling exhausted and Rhona worries that his tiredness will impact his consultancy meeting.

Mary, meanwhile, is confiding in Faith about the pressure Rhona is under. But when Rhona catches the pair in cahoots, she lashes out at her mum at what she perceives to be a lack of support. Mary, though, stresses her worry that Marlon moving home will only send Rhona’s stress levels skyrocketing and urges her to think about the impact on her and the kids.

Rhona is then left horrified when Mary suggests that she and Marlon separate and – appalled at her mum’s insensitivity – ends up showing her the door.

Al is told to leave

Al’s behaviour is once again arousing suspicion with Kerry left wondering whether something is going on between him and Belle.

But she ought to be looking in another direction entirely as Al is, at that moment, consoling (and then almost kissing) a teary-eyed Priya, who’s opened up to him about her body confidence issues.

Cain, though, has eavesdropped everything and decides to scheme against Al. His first move? Letting slip to Kerry about Al and Priya’s rekindled spark! Kerry then gets her revenge by tipping a pint over Al and ruining his business meeting before ordering him to collect his stuff and leave.

Vanessa’s date has a secret past with Leyla

Vanessa takes up an offer of dinner, but her plans go awry when she spills wine over her phone and little Johnny falls sick. With no way letting her date Suzy know what’s happened, it’s left to Vanessa to make it up to Suzy later in the week at a wine-tasting event at David’s shop.

But while the date goes well, Leyla is left disconcerted when she spots Suzy and Vanessa together. Realising that Suzy knows Leyla, Vanessa’s next move is ask what their history is, the explanation being that it’s through work. But Leyla is clearly shaken and Suzy is left promising to keep her secrets…

Kim’s shock request

Kim puts Jai in an unenviable position when she demands that, in order to keep his job as manager, he must fire his part-time colleagues and then rehire them on zero-hour contracts.

When Jai then tells Laurel what he’s being coerced to do, she can’t believe he’s willing to betray his friends. Laurel’s says Jai’s priority ought to be fighting for the rights of his fellow workers. But it isn’t long before Kim has issued an ultimatum: either Jai does her bidding or she’ll hire someone who will.

Noah seeks vengeance

Noah goes the extra mile to secure gig tickets for him and Chloe. But, at the first available opportunity, she abandons him for Nate, who’s upset because Tracy has told him she’s now dating someone new.

Chloe and Nate’s closeness doesn’t go unnoticed, though. And after spying them in each other’s company, Noah starts plotting revenge…
