It’s a race against time as Aaron and Ben try to track down an increasingly vulnerable Liv. Plus, Wendy shatters Victoria’s world when she reveals more about Luke’s past, and Bernice goes all out to win Liam back.
Read on for all this and the rest of the Emmerdale news for the week of the 14-18 June, 2021.
Can Aaron rescue Liv?
Another week, another seizure for Liv. These days, that poor woman spends more time collapsing than she does standing up, but hopefully help is now on its way…
What we’ll witness is Aaron heading off to rescue his sister, with Ben accompanying him on his mission. But they’ll need to be quick because something untoward has happened to Liv the previous night and she’s now drinking to forget.
Added jeopardy is provided by Aaron having a wobble as he struggles to find the correct caravan site, but he’s bolstered by Ben, who tells him not to give up hope. And in the end, the pair do track Liv down, only to find her convulsing for the second time in two days.

Mum Sandra is shocked to discover the true extent of her daughter’s self-destructive behaviour and makes her feelings clear. But what decision will Liv end up making about how she wants to live her life?
Wendy has bombshell news for Victoria
So, we’re suddenly now supposed to believe that there’s a whole new aspect to rapist Lee’s death that unfolded off screen? And that Luke has chosen to stay silent about a fight he had with his brother that casts doubt on the guilt of Robert Sugden?
Despite all this beggaring belief, it seems we’ll have to go along with it, as Wendy is now reluctantly revealing the whole story to Victoria, who’s left stricken as she puts all the pieces together. The repercussions of the big confession look set to leave Vic and Luke devastated and questioning whether they can recover from this.
Personally, the only reason I can think of for the show doing this is so Robert can be freed from prison and re-join the drama. Otherwise, it’ll just end up feeling a little bit unnecessary.
Meena is still scheming
Following recent events, Meena is covering her tracks in order to ensure that David remains oblivious.
I imagine, though, that the writers will allow her to continue her plotting for the foreseeable future. Emmerdale always has someone scheming away on the sidelines, who can then ramp up their misdeeds dramatically to coincide with a stunt week. And Meena definitely has the slightly unhinged look of a maniac in waiting.
Bernice’s big plan
There’s no such thing as a fairy tale wedding on soaps, so Leyla can buy all the tulle and taffeta she wants – her nuptials till aren’t going to go to plan.
On the day itself, we’ll see Leyla’s desperation to marry Liam mirrored by Bernice’s desperation to halt the ceremony. Hence Leyla being left horror struck when she spies Bernice also wearing a wedding dress! With two rival brides vying for attention, will Bernice’s last-ditch plea result in the groom having a rethink?
