Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has been flooded with messages of love and support from her fans as she shared the depths of her grief in a new message about the late Robin Windsor. The actress was among those devastated by the former Strictly Come Dancing star's death earlier this year.

Robin's death, aged 44, was confirmed by Sisco Entertainment, which represented him in various areas of theatre and corporate entertainment, in February.

Robin joined Strictly 2010 and in his first year, he was paired with EastEnders star Patsy Kensit. But he had to leave four years later due to an injury. The closest he got to winning was coming in fifth place with Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley in 2012, with the popular pairing finishing in 5th place.

Other partners included actress Anita Dobson and Dragons' Den's Deborah Meaden. He also took part in various Christmas specials with the likes of ITV stars Susanna Reid and Alison Hammond. The star most recently appeared in stage show Come What May, a tribute to Moulin Rouge.

Lisa was among the first to publically respond to the tragic news by sharing a collage of sweet pictures of the pair together both during their time on Strictly and over the years as they remained good friends and said on Instagram among broken heart emojis: "My Bestie, My Robin, My Angel…….now our forever Angel, who is loved, will always be loved, forever in my heart……my very broken heart, I love you, shine your beautiful, electric energy from heaven. SHINE IN PEACE."

She later attended his funeral alongside a number of stars including Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid and Strictly's Janette Manrara. Now, as the Eurovision Song Contest aired on Saturday night (May 11), Lisa got a stark reminder of her deep loss.

Sharing a sweet selfie of herself and Robin to Instagram, the soap star, who plays Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, said: "GOOD GOD [crying emojis]. I miss you so so so so so so much babes. We should be doing our cometary pretending to be @grahnort all night long for #eurovision."

She added: "May your endless glowing energy keep shining down from heaven #bestfriends #grief #eurovision #angel #myangel @robinwindsor #robinwindsor." And the comments section of Lisa's post was quickly flooded with supportive messages.
