Emmerdale's Paddy Dingle confesses to betraying Mandy with Chas

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Paddy Dingle will make a big confession to girlfriend Mandy Dingle next week, when he admits that he has kissed his estranged wife, Chas Dingle.

Chas has been facing a very difficult time since being diagnosed with breast cancer, and recent scenes have seen her make the decision to have a double mastectomy, while her family rallies around her.

In scenes that will air next week, Chas completes the new rota for the Woolpack and only allows herself two weeks off for her operation, leaving her son Aaron Dingle concerned that she isn't facing up to the reality of her treatment.

Chas later meets up with Paddy and, after a long chat, she finally opens up to her ex about her worries over her operation.

With Chas fearing the worst, Paddy supports and comforts her, and the pair become caught up in the familiarity of their connection.

Soon enough, the former couple are sharing a kiss, before Paddy suddenly realises that he's made a huge mistake.

Sadly, his tactless behaviour immediately afterwards hurts Chas – against her expectations.

Later on, Paddy admits to Mandy that he kissed Chas, leaving her stunned. Paddy is unsettled by Mandy's quiet reaction to the situation.

After Chas's operation, the magnitude of the situation finally dawns on her. Paddy catches up with her and is heartbroken to see Chas so vulnerable.

Could their newly-rekindled connection cause major problems for Paddy's relationship with Mandy?

Chas faces a further emotional conversation next week when her former friend Kerry Wyatt returns to the village. They haven't seen each other since the truth came out about Chas's fling with Kerry's late partner Al Chapman.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
