Empire Awards 2018: Vanessa Kirby stuns as Stephen Merchant and Martin Freeman snap snowy selfies with fans

Vanessa Kirby stunned onlookers as Stephen Merchant and Martin Freeman snapped snowy selfies with fans on the Empire Awards red carpet.

A host of the film industry's biggest names descended on Camden's Roundhouse to honour the best films from the last 12 months.

Kirby, who plays Princess Margaret in hit Netflix drama The Crown, dazzled in a two-piece floral sequin combo as she braved the arctic weather to work the cameras.

Sherlock actor Freeman and Logan star Merchant were among the celebs who took on the snow to snap pictures with adoring fans waiting in the wintery showers.

Andy Serkis stole the show with wife Lorraine Ashbourne and their children Sonny, Ruby and Louis George as they enjoyed a family night out at the glamorous event.

Best Actress winner Daisy Ridley donned a chic black tuxedo which she paired with a smart cropped jacket complete with silk detailing, form fitting trousers and burgundy heels.

The annual bash attracted a handful of names from across the pond including director Steven Spielberg who received huge cheers on arriving.

The prolific 71-year-old American filmmaker was honoured with the Legend award for his services to the film industry throughout a four decade spanning career.

He was joined by Star Wars 'Icon' Mark Hamill and Australian actor Hugh Jackman, who was honoured for his final outing as Wolverine.

Simon Pegg, Rian Johnson, Ophelia Lovibond, Celia Imrie and Anya Taylor-Joy were also in attendance.
