Enquiries continue three months after GBH attack

Enquiries remain ongoing after a woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an assault in Dorchester – three months on.

A woman was seriously assaulted at an address in Damers Road back in March.

A 28-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man, both from Dorchester, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and have since been released on police bail while investigations continue.

The victim – aged in her 40s from the Dorchester area – sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment by the ambulance service.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “The two arrested people remain on police bail while enquiries continue.”

Detective Inspector Rhys Griffiths, of Dorset County CID, previously said: “From our initial enquiries, we believe the incident happened inside an address and involved individuals who are known to each other.

“An investigation is underway, and I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area during the morning of Sunday, March 24 to please get in touch.

“A cordon has been put in place at the scene and there will be an increased police presence while officers carry out detailed enquiries.”
