ESA Marks #SpaceStation20th With 'Longest Continual Timelapse From Space'

The European Space Agency (ESA) released footage on November 19 showing the Earth from the perspective of the International Space Station (ISS) in a timelapse video comprised of about 21,375 images.

The footage was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launch of the first ISS module, Zarya, on November 20, 1998.

The footage, which was taken on October 6 by astronaut Alexander Gerst, starts as the ISS passes over Tunisia before taking two trips around the world. Credit: European Space Agency via Storyful
